CONSTITUTION

NOTE: At this time, aspects of the below constitution which we were working under have been set aside, owing to that precious few people do all the work, are willing to do and to serve. Leadership Council will act in accordance with the mission statement, and to the best of their abilities.

The purpose of this organization is to promote and protect falconry.  To that end, the organization is charged with:

- Educating the public regarding our practices, issues and concerns,
- Assisting interested individuals in becoming good falconers,
- Lobbying with federal and state legislature and related agencies.
- Promoting and assisting in propagation of domestic and exotic species,
- Promoting and protecting take of wild passage and eyass raptors for falconry,
- Assisting full members in their federal and state legal concerns
- Promoting ecological, veterinary and equipment advances
- Other unseen aspects as pertains to falconry and sustainable raptor and prey populations.

This organization will not practice unwarranted bias against any individual, member, or group. 

This organization is a nonprofit "social welfare" organization.

 

BYLAWS

1) On January 31, 2006, by unanimous agreement of the Leadership Council at that time, (John "JT" Taylor Yezeguielian, Pete Jungemann, Anita Johnson, Brian Kellogg, and Timothy P. Ainge,) the following rule was set in place:

Preamble: While the Falconry Alliance respects and reveres the U.S. Constitution's First Amendment rights, in order to preserve accurate perception of the its identity, and owing to the inherently delicate circumstance of politics and diplomacy, we legislate that:

No member (contributor), whether full or sponsoring, is to represent, misrepresent, presume or claim to represent the views, platforms, opinions, goals or other positions of the Falconry Alliance, nor shall any member interpret or extrapolate in any regard on its behalf , unless specifically authorized by the Board.  Failure to adhere to this bylaw may be considered grounds for expulsion from the organization.

For further clarification: This bylaw is not intended discourage or prohibit discussion of falconry or related issues.  We encourage members to promote the Falconry Alliance and its purposes.  To do so accurately and effectively, all persons are requested to refer interested parties to the website and official Falconry Alliance publications.
